      CANCELLATIONS:

We are a small lodge and any cancellations affect us significantly.   If not booked through a travel agent, a credit card number is required to reserve a room.  Our cancellation policy is:

  • Cancellations within 30 days:  25% of total cost of stay

  •  Cancellations within 48 hours:  100% of total cost of stay

    SMOKING:

For everyone’s comfort, smoking is not permitted in the Lodge, and is confined to the terrace outside.  There are flowerpots filled with sand provided for butts.

    CHILDREN:

There are a maximum of two guests allowed per room.  Due to the nature of the Lodge's sleeping arrangements, it is not suitable for young children.

    PETS:

Pets are not allowed due to the proximity of the lodge to livestock and wildlife areas.

    ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY:

Rocky Range Lodge is located in a beautiful, natural environment that is highly prone to severe droughts.  We are committed to preserving the environment in New Zealand and conserving scarce resources.  We therefore:

  • Change sheets and towels every second or third day unless otherwise requested to conserve water and reduce detergent use

  • Use a front loading washing machine which cuts water use by 60%

  • Purchase bulk products and store them in re-usable containers and avoid pre-packaged food products to cut down on packaging going to landfills

  • Convert vegetable scraps to fertilizer in our worm farms

  • Recycle

  • Are in the process of re-landscaping many areas to eliminate plants and grass that require watering.  New areas will focus on grasses, tussocks and other native regional plants that are drought tolerant

Thank you to our guests for their cooperation in our conservation efforts.
